3 Steps to Successful Sports Performance Training

1: Determine Where You Are

In order to properly prepare, it is important to first understand the physiological demands of your sport, and use an athlete fitness evaluation to determine where you are--to find your current fitness levels, to detect any neuromuscular imbalances (tight, weak muscles that may lead to future injury), etc.


2: Set Goals and Devise a Plan to Get You There

Once the comprehensive performance evaluation provides you with the necessary information about where you are, goal setting and successful sports analysis will tell you where you need to be. A specific schedule that outlines your practices, games, vacation, etc., along with the specific time of year (in season, pre season, off season, etc.) should be laid out and used with your specific goals to devise a plan to get you there.


3: Execute Your Plan (sports training program)

After making your plan, the final part is committing yourself to executing the plan with your sports training programs, by giving 100% at each workout, and making adjustments if necessary (unplanned practices sessions, make-up games, etc.).


Any plan only has value if you commit yourself to it, and commit yourself to your goal(s).
