A great coach needs to know and fully understand all the various training methods and also know and
understand when each one should be used for optimal results.  A coach that prescribes to one and only one
training method is limiting his/her success as a coach and limiting the success of the athletes using that method.  
It has been proven time and time again that every training method can provide positive results in a limited (short
term) time frame.  Too many coaches and athletes see these quick results and swear loyalty to only that method.  
Research has also shown that as the athlete adapts to the training stimulus of the method being used, and as the
athlete becomes more advanced, so must the training method(s).  The most effective programs being utilized by
athletes at the highest level of each sport include many different method.  The key is not only knowing all the
methods, but knowing when to use a specific method or methods to achieve the desired results.

This section of the site will be dedicated to providing information about many of the different training methods that
can be used in sports performance training.
