Sports Training Clinics,Camps and Seminars
Supplement Your Training with Specialty Camps, Clinics or Educational Seminars
If you are exactly where you want to be in your athletic career, then you can stop reading now.
If you are strong as you want to be, fast as you want to be, have the lean body mass or body fat percentage you want, can jump as high as you want, run as fast as you want, have the exact amount of power you want, or are in perfect shape, you can also stop reading.
However, if you have areas you would like to improve, and want to learn how you can do it, then it would be a good idea to either hire the services of a certified, educated, and experienced professional athletic performance coach, OR you can attend a sports training clinic, workshop, or seminar.
At Finish First Sports Performance, we periodically offer specialty sports training clinics and sports performance seminars for serious athletes, parents or coaches looking for cutting-edge evidence based training principles that can be applied to real-world training-designed to help athletes succeed in sport endeavors.
These programs are concentrated on a particular sport, training area (such as speed, power, etc.), or piece of the sports success puzzle (ie. Physical preparation, mental preparation, etc.)-- and are offered on a limited capacity basis.
We prefer to keep the number of attendees in our sports training clinices low to guarantee that they get the attention to detail that they deserve and an opportunity to ask questions and learn from the elite performance coaches and advisors at Finish First Sports Performance.
Year-round Performance Training 1st, then Specialty Sports Training Clinics, and Seminars
For optimal training results, a year-round training program should be consistently executed by each athlete. Sports training clinics, camps and seminars should be part of your education and performance enhancement regime
IN ADDITION TO (not instead of!) an effective annual performance enhancement training program.
Please, do not allow yourself to be mislead into believing you can get all the training you need through sports training clinics or camps.
The truth is that you should not expect to get a year's worth of training and benefits in a summer-long camp or weekend clinic. However, you can expect to get coaching and training designed to help get you closer to your athletic goals. What you learn at your sports training clinic needs to be practiced and used in order to reap the benefits of learning this new information.
A smart person once said that knowledge is not power...it is the application of that knowledge that is truly powerful.
So, learning is only the first step to helping you get to your goal. You must apply what you learn or what you know in order to achieve the success that you deserve.
You will find our current sports training clinics and seminars listed below.
Sports Performance Training Clinics
The Finish First Sports Performance sports training clinics are workshops that last a maximum of one day, and are typically focused on one specific training area or sport, such as a speed training clinic or a hockey performance clinic.
Our sports training clinics include classroom type teaching, discussion, and hands-on application. For example, in a hockey clinic we may teach you how to better train for faster skating, followed by an open discussion, and then finish with active participation in attempting the off-ice techniques and drills.
We assemble a panel of experts specific to each topic presented in our sports training clinics. Specialized training is needed for sports excellence, so it is necessary to find specialized experts. We will not have a stick-handling expert discussing power skating, just as we wouldn't have a strength coach teaching specific hockey strategies.
